Competitors Brave the Elements at Meadows Third Week Running
For the third successive week, competitors at The Meadows had to brave the elements whilst competing at the Flexi Eventing. Indeed many were unable to make it given the overnight snowfall in some areas.
However, those who conquered the conditions put up a strong fight for rosettes in all disciplines. The results do not accurately reflect the numbers who attended as double clears were very hard to come by.
The Intro class this week was won by Becky Cullen on Cassidy who finished ahead of dressage newcomer Trudie McCoosh and Princess who rode four in the class, showing great stamina.
It was a very close situation at the top of the Pre Novice section where marks for medium walk had to be taken into consideration to differentiate the top two as well as 3rd and 4th. In the event Sarah Hall and Rocky stole a mark on Alexa Grudgings and Jack.
Clare Abbott took the honours in the Novice A class with Tara while Suzanne Hagan and Phineas Finn claimed the red rosette in the B section.
The Flexi Eventing series continues next Saturday and is open to all. Dressage must be pre entered by Wednesday of each week with Dora on 07876758979 or dorabeacom@live.co.uk.
