Week ending 1st December 2013, results Ravensdale Lodge Equestrian & Event Centre.

Technology is the buzz word around Ravensdale Lodge at the moment and with everyone into their gadgets and mobile communication it will be the right place to be in the New Year. Smart tablets , not the ones you swallow , will be the focus of riders attention as there will be a number up for grabs over all competitions in the winter / spring schedule of shows. Everyone will be in for a chance of winning one of these super high-tech tablets as all qualified combinations in each competition will go into a draw with one lucky combination taking home a tablet! Talent will be rewarded also as there will be a further tablet on offer for the leading rider over all classes in the ever popular Friday evening horse & pony training league. It doesn’t stop there, there is further good news as there is one more tablet on offer for the leading points rider over all three winter / spring leagues combined so that’s five tablets on offer…smart! All leagues will be up and running from 23rd January but before then there are two concluding weeks of the autumn / winter schedule to finish off the 2013 show season at Ravensdale Lodge. It is down to the last couple of weeks of all leagues at the centre with the Tonino Lamborghini SJI registered indoor horse league taking place on Thursday from 11am with all modified classes from 80cm (M) to 1.30m (M). It is the turn of horse & pony

training on Friday evening with the Botanica International league commencing at 5.30pm with classes from X poles to 1.10m and as always there is a sponsors prize for all classes with five or more entries. Horse First put up the prizes for Saturday’s indoor arena eventing league which kicks off at 3pm with the 70cm class and this will be followed by the 85cm class at 4pm and the 1m class at 5pm. Once again there will be a super product prize for all classes with 5 or more entries courtesy of Horse First. The charity prize pot in the O’ Reillys Wholesalers indoor dressage league is heading for €900 with two weeks to go and it would be lovely to tip the €1000 for this league with each class winner raising €250 towards their nominated charity. Of course there will be rider prizes in the final and all this courtesy of O’ Reillys Wholesalers Newry. Weekly tests for this indoor dressage league can be found on the Ravensdale Lodge website and all entries should be in by 1pm on the Thursday before competition.
