Strule Valley RC Update and Dolly Mixture Shield Presentation
STRULE VALLEY RIDING CLUB are holding an Arena Eventing Competition this Sunday 17th February at Ecclesville Equestrian Centre, Fintona commencing at 1.30pm with the 70cm class, followed by 80cm, 90cm, 1 metre & 1’10. This will consist of 7 showjumps followed by 7 working hunter/cross country type fences; so come along & try something different! Rosettes will be awarded to every double clear & the double clears will come into the arena at the end of each class, to draw for 1st place which is a bag of horse & pony nuts very kindly sponsored by Baileys Horse Feeds & Thompsons Feeds Omagh.
Meanwhile members & their horses are enjoying polework/showjumping lessons with William Anderson at Ecclesville during the month of February. Moving into March sees 16 years for the Club & Mandi King will take members for flatwork & gridwork/showjumping training during this month & Saturday 9th March is scheduled for the 16th annual combined training competition at the RDA, Omagh which is open to everyone. On Easter Monday, 1st April the annual easter charity pleasure ride will take place at Baronscourt which is open to everyone. £5 per pony/horse is asked & money from this will go to the ‘Share Centre, Lisnaskea’.
A working hunter competition is being planned for Saturday 11th May at Ecclesville which again is open to everyone. Mandi King will take members during May for more showjumping training & cross country training is scheduled for this month at Moira Equestrian Centre.
