Christmas Show at Strule Valley

strulevalleylogoSTRULE VALLEY RIDING CLUB are commencing their winter schedule of events by continuing with their showjumping training with Mandi King at Ecclesville, Fintona.  Then they will hang their boots up for a meal out at Asian Delights in Omagh just before Christmas.  Those interested are asked to let Ann Regan know by Wednesday 11th December.  The annual Christmas Show is planned this year for Saturday 21st December at the RDA, Arvalee, Omagh commencing at 10am with the ponies.  Classes are 40cm, 60cm, 70cm, 80cm open & 90cm open followed by a run & ride class.  The horses will follow after this at approximately 1.30 pm with 60cm, 70cm, 80cm, 90cm open & 1 metre open.  There will also be a prize for the best Christmas Fancy Dress in each class.  Everyone is very welcome, members & non members; so we hope to see you there!

There will be a few weeks break then for Christmas/New Year, & Dale Roberts will commence some dressage/flatwork training on Wednesday 15th January for 3 weeks at the RDA, Arvalee, Omagh.  The Club are inviting members of other riding clubs to join them for these 3 weeks, so anyone interested should contact Alison Donnell on 82 246652 or via Strule Valley facebook page.

February will be another busy month with showjumping training with Richard Smyth at Ecclesville & also an indoor cross country session with Nessa Toher is planned.  An Arena Eventing competition is planned for Sunday 23rd February at Ecclesville, commencing at 1.30 pm with 70cm, 80cm, 90cm, 1 metre & 1’10.  This will consist of 6 showjumping fences followed by 6 working hunter/cross country type fences – something a little different!  Again everyone is very welcome to come along & this is open to ponies & horses, members & non members.
