On Saturday 23rd November  22  Route Hunt members, including Rosie Alcorn who had flown home from Liverpool for the day, and 3 visitors met at Letterloan, Coleraine for their weekly hunt. Before setting off the  hunt master Philip White welcomed everyone and asked all to ride with care and treat the ground as if it was their own as most of the hunt was over grass fields . There were numerous stone walls throughout the day as well as hedges, laneways, some hilly ground where the hounds picked up a scent and made chase and a rather tricky ditch. Several of the jumps were not for the faint hearted and in fact challenged even the most experienced riders and while everyone managed to stay on board there were a few near misses.

The weather was mild with some light rain but this did not dampen the spirits of those who had turned out to enjoy another days  hunting and to catch up with friends. To end the day there was tea,  coffee and biscuits and all had a chat and discussed the events of the day.

Hunt members thank the organisers for  another good  hunt  and the farmers and landowners who allow the hunt to use their land.

The next  hunt is  at 12 noon on  Saturday 30th November followed that evening by a quiz . The  organisers  hope  to see a good turnout at both the hunt and the quiz.  For further details on this or about  joining the Route Hunt  please contact the Hunt Master (Philip White 07732630963) or the Hunt Secretary (Julie Smyth 07793209899)
