Connell Hill BURSTS into 2013

Connell Hill bursts into 2013 at the first night of their training shows when new faces arrived to jump at this so advantageous course which is not only aimed to bring on the young horse but also the novice rider.  These shows prove again and again just how important it is to kick start off the young/novice horse and rider.  Patience, help and advice plays a real important role to both and Connell Hill provides this so what better way to start off the new year than to come along and make use of this opportunity.

 The 50 cm class started the night off with clear rounds opening the way for the night ahead, this was followed by the 60 cm class which again saw quite a few red rosettes.  Nicole Cameron on her novice horse Tanner jumped clear as did Dee Harris on Jack, Carine Fullerton on Amigo and Beth Boone who swapping her rides chose Polly to pick up the red rosettes in the 70 cm class.   The 80 cm class saw Carine Fullerton on Amigo and Beth Boone on Polly tying equal first.  First outings for Lauren Johnston on Shannon proved how horse and rider are a team when they jumped a double clear in the 90 cm class as both horse and rider are only just getting to know each other with Suzanna Graham on Spot also jumping a double clear.  And to end the night Jenny Beattie on Danny and again Lauren Johnston on Shannon jumped double clears to take equal first in the 1.0m class.

Connell Hill has a HORSE EVENT FILLED DIARY for the next few months as the training shows will continue on Friday nights at 6.30 pm, 50 cm – 1.0m classes, with SJI Measuring on Saturday 12^th January at 11.00am, bookings can be made by contacting Janet Currie on 02877722360.  SJI Spring Horse League dates are Saturday 2^nd, 9^th, 16^th, 23^rd February, 2^nd , 9^th, 23^rd, 30^th March, 6^th, 13^th, 20^th and 27^th March with classes starting at 10.00 am 80 cm – 1m 30. SJI Horse Grand Prix Show will be held on 16^th March at 10.00 am with £2,000 prize fund.  SJI Spring Pony League will be held on Sunday 3^rd, 10^th, 17^th, 24^th, 31^st March, 7^th, 14^th, 21^st and 28^th April.  Connell Hill will host the Ulster Connemara Pony Breeders Society Indoor Derby on Sunday 17^th February at 10.00 am which is open to all horses and ponies.  The proceeds from this show will be donated to Breast Cancer.  For all enquiries contact Gillian on 078031 78009, Grace 07765 884254, or check the web site www.connellhil.com where all will be made welcome.
