On Saturday 9TH November  26  Route hunt members and  visitors  met at Foylehov hovercrafting and leisure run by brothers Ian and Charles Mark at Carrowclare Road Myroe, Limavady.Hunt master Ian Holmes  welcomed everyone and thanked Ian And Charles Mark for the use of the field at Foylehov for  parking and their land for hunting. Boyd and Linda Kane  who were also in attendance at Foylehov were thanked for the use of their land as were the owners of Evergreen Lawns and Milgro Ltd.

Despite heavy rain earlier in the day the hunt set of in glorious sun shine and enjoyed good weather throughout the day. Most of the fields were stubble fields which meant that riders were allowed to do the jumps more than once which pleased everyone. There was a good mix of jumps including three 5 bar gates, pallets, a water pipe, telegraph poles and rustic poles which had been set up by Gerard McCloskey and Ian Holmes the hunt organisers, as well as 2 ditches. Everyone enjoyed the day especially Martin Mellet of Jazz Horses who used the 2 quads, which the hunt followers were using, for his final jump of the day. Everyone returned to Foylehov and enjoyed the on site catering facilities as well as discussing the events of the day.

The next  hunt is  at 12 noon on  Saturday 16th November. The  organisers  hope  to see a good turnout of  members and visitors.  For further details on this or about  joining the Route Hunt  please contact the Hunt Master (Philip White 07732630963) or the Hunt Secretary (Julie Smyth 07793209899)
