Summer Dressage Days at Laurel View

The Laurel View Summer Dressage League concluded on Sunday 15th September. All throughout the summer participants have been practicing and performing their tests, to determine who would take home the league prizes competitors top two scores plus their score at the final are added together. So who ended up on the roll of honour?
Lucy Telford and A Day on the Dub took the lead in the Walk/trot league class, just beating Laurel View Sindy and Simon Wylie.
In the Newcomers class it was Orage Sauvage and Sheryl McBrides scores that added up best, leaving McCracken and Katherine Hall in second place.
The first of the Prelim league classes was won with a superb total score by Sylvia Henry riding Mossbrook Ferrelle. Janene Gamble and Lenamore Master Maguire also had performed at a persistently high level to secure the second place league spot.
Amy Neill and Joshi J were delighted with their win in Class 4’s Prelim competition, just coming in ahead of Laurel Hill Evie and Kristine Lynch.
Onto the Novice (Class 5) and here it was a league win for Jill Hobson and Furisto Seven for a Secret. Rosie and Emma McLean ended up with the blue rosette for their sterling efforts.
Elaine Morrow rode the Elementary test on Ardenza Gem throughout the league to wine the top spot in the Open class, with Geraldine Lowry and Ringfort Nimmerdino and Geraldine Lowry, also riding the Elementary test gaining second place.

As is now the practice at Laurel View we like to reward our Riding School Competitors who take part in the league with special prizes worked out on average scores throughout the league and taking the honours this time were 1st Holly McKeown, 2nd Christine Smyth and coming in 3rd Emma Anderson.
Many thanks to all the judges, scribes, runners, scorers and anyone else in the Laurel View team that makes it all possible. Not forgetting the competitors off course who come from all over the province to take part. Thanks also to the Equi-Tog photography team for their dedication and skills at all of our competitions, giving us a photographic record of competitions at Laurel View.

The Winter Dressage League commenced on 6th October with the second leg of the league scheduled to take place on Sunday 3rd November.
