Magical Night at Connell Hill

As Autumn has arrived the daylight hours are lessening Connell Hill is the ideal venue for schooling and training as the outdoor warm-up arena has flood lighting and then the opportunity of jumping the challenging courses indoor.  The 50 cm class started the night off with clear rounds from Gaby Morgan on ‘Deano’, Jodie Creighton on ‘Sonny’ and Alex Byrne on, her fabulous pony, ‘Willow’ who also had a double clear in the 60 cm class as did Jodie Creighton on ‘Lucky’, Jodie then went on to jump double clear in the 70 cm class on ‘Mac’ and double clear in the 80 cm class on ‘Reilly’.  Tara Murphy on her new horse ‘Clover’ had a very successful night picking up red rosettes for double clears in the 80 and 90 cm classes.  The 1.0 m class saw double clear rounds from Nicky Anderson on ‘Carlos’ and Lucy Sullivan on ‘Storm’ with a magical ending for the nights jumping from Lucy Sullivan on ‘Magic’ with a double clear in the 1.10 m class.

Training Show for Horses and Ponies continue on Friday nights, at 6.30 pm, 50 cm – 1.10 m classes.

SJI Autumn Horse League Saturday 28^th September, 19^th and 26^th October, 2^nd, 9^th, 16^th, 23^rd with final on 30^th November, classes 80 cm – 1.30 am starting at 10.00 am.

SJI Autumn Pony League Sunday 13^th October with Final on Sunday 27^th October, all the usual classes starting at 10.00 am.

£1,000 Indoor Derby League on Sunday 29^th September, Saturday 12^th October with Final on Sunday 3^rd November at 10.00 am.  Competitors must compete at 1 league date to qualify for final.

Dressage Show Day Sun 6^th October at 10.00 am, Intro A (2008), Prelim 10 (2002), Prelim 14 (2006), Novice 30 (2006) and Elementary 58 (2004).
