Ravensdale Lodge Equestrian & Event Centre Results
Week ending 1st September, results Ravensdale Lodge Equestrian & Event Centre.
Large numbers turned up again for week three of the six-week summer / autumn schedule at Ravensdale Lodge. There was a lot going on at the centre as in addition to the regular leagues and shows, work commenced on the introduction of fibre into the indoor arena surface and this was completed by mid week. As the indoor season fast approaches competitors can rest assured that the indoor surfaces are in top order in advance of the curtain raiser which is set to be the MSL Mercedes-Benz Autumn Grand Prix weekend horse show on Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th September. There are three more weeks of outdoor competition before the move indoors and shows continue this week with the Tailored Equestrian sponsored SJI registered horse league on Wednesday which commences at 11am with modified classes from 80cm to 1.30m, SJI registered ponies also run on Wednesday with the usual 128cm, 138cm & 148cm classes which run from 5.30pm. The show jumping track is available to hire from Thursday to Sunday through the office and the Moorhill Saddlery sponsored horse & pony training league continues on Friday from 5pm SHARP. This has been a very popular league with large numbers attending over the past three Friday’s to jump in all classes which start at X poles and move up in height to 1.10 over the course of the evening. There are prizes on offer in each class with 5 or more entries in this league which have been kindly sponsored by Moorhill Saddlery who will also put up prizes for league and final winners at the end of the league. There was another great turnout for the Cherry Soda Ladies Fashion cross-jump series on Sunday and congratulations to all who went clear either show jumping or over the cross-country track and in particular to Clare Brady with Ella and Chelsea Brant who rode Silver Linings clear in both the show jumping & cross-country phases on Sunday.
