Double Clears at Connell Hill’s Training Show
With the summer holidays drawing to an end there was a good turn out of competitors for the Friday night Training Show at Connell Hill. This is certainly the ideal show to attend to bring on the young inexperienced horse and also where riding skills can be improved. The 50 cm class got the night of to a rolling start with a full house of clear rounds. Having a great night jumping with super double clears in the 60 cm and 70 classes were Andrew McAuley on ‘Blaze’ and a young star of the future Jessica Higgins on ‘Crystal’, is following in her Uncles foot-steps. Another successful night with double clears in the 70 cm and 80 cm classes was Tara Murphy on ‘Clover’
Training Show for Horses and Ponies continue on Friday nights, at 6.30 pm, 50 cm – 1.10 m classes.
SJI Autumn Horse League commences September, Saturday 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th, 19th and 26th October, 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd with final on 30th November, classes 80 cm – 1.30 am starting at 10.00 am.
SJI Autumn Pony League Sundays 8th, 15th and 22nd September, 6th and 13th with Final on 27th October, all the usual classes starting at 10.00 am.
£1,000 Indoor Derby League on Sunday 29th September, Saturday 12th October with Final on Sunday 3rd November at 10.00 am. Competitors must compete at 1 league date to qualify for final.
