Dylans’ Fizz at Connell Hill

This is the weather we have long awaited, some of us find it hard going but just remember this spell when we horse enthusiasts are mucking out in the cold hard winds of the winter months.  So these training shows are ideal for jumping a course of fences in a relaxed environment in the cool of the indoor arena.  The 50 cm class started the night off which saw a promising young athlete of the future Dylan Stewart on ‘Fizz’ making his debut with a super clear round.  Melissa Rostron on ‘Biscuit’ picked up the red rosette with a double clear round in the 60 cm class.  Grace Burns on ‘Tammy’ had a super double clear in the 70 cm class with Andrew McAuley on ‘Flaming Nora’ and Lindsey Cameron on ‘Indie’ jumping double clear and then go on to jump double clear rounds with Erin Dunseath on ‘Malibu’ in the 80 cm class.  To end the night Pheobe Scott jumped a double clear round on her ‘wonder’ horse ‘Casper’ in the 1.10 m class

 

Training Show for Horses and Ponies continue on Friday nights, at 6.30 pm, 50 cm – 1.10 m classes where everyone is welcome to come along and socialise with a hot snack, tea/coffee/soft drink from the cafe.  Further details contact Gillian on 078 03 178 009 or Grace 077 65 884 254, www.connellhill.com

 

The final of the SJI Horse League is on Thursday 25^th July, classes 80 cm – 1.30 m, starting at 10.00 am.

 

Don’t forget Summer Dressage Show Sunday 28^th July, at 10.00 am, Class 1 – Intro B (2009), Class 2 – Prelim 4 (2002), Class 3 – Prelim 10 (2002), Class 4 – Novice 30 (2006) & Class 5 – Elementary 49 (2009).  Entries to Grace on 077 65 88 42 54, closing date Thursday 25^th July.  Times available by text to Grace on Friday 26^th July, 7.00 – 9.00 pm.
