The Kings are Queens of the Ring at NIRC Championships
The Kings are Queens of the ring at the NIRC outdoor show jumping Championships at Meadows
A dull day didn’t dampen the spirits of the competitors at the NIRC champs. Close to 200 competitors turned out to compete for a wide range of classes for seniors and juniors , teams and individuals.
One family had an exceptionally good day and in fact a very exciting week . Laura King Portmore and head girl at Lurgan College was interviewed by BBC news on Monday as she attended the Waterfront Hall to hear American President Barack Obama give his public address ahead of the G8 summit .
Laura won the junior open class on Clonel Gun and was on the 3rd placed junior team, while her sister Katie won the senior intermediate on Skewberry and was 2nd in the senior Open with her new horse Rock Tradoon.
