Half Way Mark of Summer SJI League at Connell Hill

The disappointing heavy rain did not deter competitors travelling from all arts and parts eager to jump at Connell Hills Summer League with classes from 80 cm to 1.30 m.  Having a successful day with double clears in both the 90 cm and 1.0 m classes were Sarah Fulton on ‘Fiasco Zed’, BeverleyCaves on ‘Quinica’ and Martin McCloskey on ‘Monastery Stud Golden Eye’.  It was all go as courses changed, fences went up and clocks started for the 1.10 m class but with brakes off, local girl, Tara O’Connell on ‘Graf Pepsi Max’ flew into first place with Christopher Adger on ‘Limmerick Sparkle’ picking up second.  The 1.20 m class started and the rounds just got faster with Kevin Mackey on Helena O’Kanes ‘Legavallons Moonshine’ take the honour of first place and Joanne Blair on ‘Maximus’ slipping into second with Lisa Mitchell-Talbot on ‘Kilcorig Belle’ taking first place in the 1.30 m class.

Remember only three weeks remaining, 4^th, 11^th, 18^th July, to qualify for the grand finale on Thursday 25^th July, classes 80 cm – 1.30 m, starting at 10.00 am.
