‘A Little Touch of Magic’ for Inter-Venue Tour at Connell Hill
The Inter Venue Tour at Connell Hill on Sunday saw a very relaxed day of jumping enjoyed by competitors and spectators. The very favourable weather had riders eager to jump a course of fences designed to test ability and improve skills. The first red rosette of the day went to Siobhan Black on ‘Oscar Rua’ jumping a double clear round in the 70 cm class. Taking the reins in the 80 cm and 90 cm classes were Lorraine Frizzell on ‘A Little Touch of Magic’ winning both classes with Roberta Mullen [nee McClurg] picking up second placings on ‘Rudaro’ and ‘Drummillar Hay Day’ respectively. Competition rose for the 1.0 m class but with a super double clear was won by Kirsten Farr on ‘Charlie’ with Julie Blakley on ‘Murphy’, cheered on by son Oliver, slotting into second place. Alex Magill on ‘Ucello’ with a very speedy double clear won first place in the 1.10 m class with Carol-Ann Saunders on ‘Encore’ running away with first place in the 1.20 class. A great result for Laura Reid winning first place on ‘Bobby’ and second on ‘Temara’ in the 1.30 m class.
