The Final of the Ecclesville Summer 2013 Showjumping League was held on Friday 28 June and it brought to the close another very successful league. The spectators were very enthusiastic as the qualified combinations twisted and flew round Raymond Caldwell’s courses!

 The beautifully turned out combination of Niall Bruce and Honeysuckle were the winners of the 40cm class.  The very deserving winner in the 60cm class was local girl, Jodie Lyons riding her lovely pony, Bubbles. The red ribbon in the 70cm class was awarded to Bethany Stewart and Blossom. Nicola McDermott and Bob, who were a very consistent combination over the entire league, picked up the first place rosette in the 80cm class.

Julie Burleigh was on fine form and was the clear winner in the 90cm class on Tequila and then picked up the red ribbon in the 1m class on Chardonnay. The final class of the evening, the 1.10m, went to Enda Friel and Bob, with Katie Leonard and Jolene in a close second place.

The organisers would like to thank all the many competitors who supported this league. Also sincere thanks to Raymond Caldwell, Course Builder, assisted by Malvern Moore, and to Rachel Magee and Anne Morris who assisted in the Judges box.

The next event for Ecclesville’s Centre will be a one day Pony and Horse Show scheduled for Sunday 4 August.  With significant cash prizes to be won on the day, the organisers are anticipating a great day’s jumping.
