The highlight of the weekend was the 1.35 Grand Prix Ulster Region Summer Tour which took place on Sunday evening. 45 riders declared over the Rafael Suarez designed course to see a number of early riders rub fences one and four to become victims of this technically demanding course. Spectator numbers grew as only 12 riders made it through into the jump off.

Jordan Coyle entered the ring first on Lakeview Magic, owned by J.Maneely and took an incredibly tight turn back to the double, however finished on 8 faults and a time of 38.70.

Next into the ring was Robert Newell on Zinniz Roundthorn owned by P.Connon. Robert took the same turn and kept the double up, but asked for a stretch too far when taking a stride out to the penultimate fence and finished on 4 faults and a time of 40.28.

Suzanne Posnett was back into the ring again, this time on Butela owned by David Prentice BMW. Already in the lead, she opted not to try the turns once again, however knocked the penultimate fence to finish on 4 faults and a time of 49.07.

Paul Caves on his own Quinten set the pace early and looked to be a contender for the lead taking a new turn later in the course, however knocking the purple upright one from home he collected 4 faults and a time of 40.18 placing him in 6th position.

Rebecca Patterson on her mothers Knockroe Decies Girl were drawn one from last and the mare showed she was keen to get started as they emerged from the pocket. Well executed turns back from the double kept them on the mark, however after rolling fence 10 they finished on 8 faults overall.

Last in was Jordan Coyle on VDL Cassius owned by E.Sharkey. Jordan went for each of the turns and executed them perfectly. Tensions ran high in the spectators area as each fence clear brought the possible win closer, he crossed the line clear in 39.55 seconds to claim a well deserved win.
