Jenny Make a Penny leads the field at the Route Hunt Point to Point races on Saturday.

With good weather, good ground conditions and a total of 59 runners  The Route Hunt Point To Point Races at Carrowclare Road, Myroe, Limavady on Saturday 5^th October were ideal for a great day of racing. A reasonable crowd had turned out and racing started promptly at 1pm. In total there were 6 races. The  first race of the day  was won by The Grey Taylor who  led the way for most of the race. The second race was won by Jenny Make A Penny with Tousupreme only a neck behind and in the 3^rd race only a head separated the winner Chosen Dream and River Clare. The last race of the day had only 5 runners and it was Mothers Tree who ran in 4^th place for most of the race and then made a great sprint to the finish to win. Although there had been a few fallers, and some horses were pulled up before the end of their races, there was  a good days  racing  without any casualities.

The first Route hunt of the season is  on Saturday 12^th October 2013 at 10am.This is an introductory hunt and is a great opportunity to try hunting for the first time or to get back into hunting mode.
