Lessans Riding School Summer Show provided a successful start to September for riders young (and not so young) competing in three rings. In Ring One everyone did well in the  40/50 cm show jumping class-  however the  Fitzpatrick family started the day as they meant to go on with Niamh winning the trophy on Bonnie .

The 50/60 cm class was also hotly contested with double clears from Rachel Irvine , Eve McDowell and Dylan Torrens with Dylan riding Lady Arabella talking home the  trophy. A large class competed at the 70/80cm class with Alex Fitzpatrick joining his sister by winning the trophy with further classes up to 1 meter proving equally popular.  

The younger riders also had fun in the Lead Rein and First Ridden Classes in Ring Two sponsored by Roy Kerr, although everyone wondered what the clothes horse was doing in the ring until the handy ponies demonstrated their skills with a variety of obstacles including hanging out the washing!

 The showing classes were hotly contested with Claire Liddle on Frenchfort Jackson having a near perfect score in the Ridden Horse Class. Finally a new Working Hunter course was testing the skills of the riders in Ring Three.   Chloe Gill on Spirit won the Working Hunter Starter Stakes while Harriet Pele on Little Miss Twinkle took the honours in the Novice Pony class. Claire Liddle had further success in the Novice horse class while Georgia Kirkwood on Maddy won the Open Pony classes and local rider William Howard leading the Open Horse class. A big thank you from Lessans Riding School to all the judges and their assistants.
