Cora McNulty and Connie, top of the 60cm league

The Spring Laurel View Show Jumping was a relatively short one, with the sixth and final competition on Wednesday 30^th April.

Competition had been strong throughout the league, with a couple of particularly busy evenings during the school holidays.  This league had been run on a points basis, so those attending regularly throughout the league with a consistent performance featured at the top end of the league results.

At Laurel View we are particularly proud of the riding school competitors, who have proved very keen competitors, holding their own among the riders on their own steeds, many of them feature well in the league results.

Alison Larkham has had a very busy and successful league, picking up 1^st and 2^nd on Delilah and Lily respectively in the 45cm class and also a first in the 80cm league riding Lexi. Louise Spence and Maverick were delighted to receive 3^rd in the 45cm league.

In the 60cm league, new pairing Connie and Cora McNulty ultimately came out on top with Busby and Emma Ewing a close second. Taking the yellow rosette for the sixties was Alison Stewart and Jodie.

Over the 70cm course Jodie and Alison Stewart picked up the red rosette. Connie Jordan and Blue, took home the blue league rosette, while Thizbee and Megan Ingram came third in the points league. Special mention for Megan and Thizbee who had started later in the league, but picked up a red for every 70cm course they jumped.

First in the eighties league was Alison Larkham and Lexi, the runners up position was earned by Miriam Wright and The Castletown Lad, Miriam Wright, while Aimee Davis and Addy were very proud to take third in the league.

The results in the 90cm and metre league were identical with Skylark Express and Kathy Delargy taking the red rosettes, while Danny and Jenny Beattie took the blue ones.

Wednesday nights at Laurel View will have a different focus over the summer months, with the Winter Show Jumping League scheduled to start on the 1^st Wednesday in October.  To find out what else is going on in the meantime, keep an eye on www.laurelview.co.uk
