Elaine gardener and Sam the only combination to gain maximum points in the 90cm class at week 3 of Knockagh view’s jump cross league

The 3rd week of Knockagh View Equestrian Centre’s Jump cross league took place last Saturday with the new boat as the joker fence it caused a wave of nervous excitement amogst the competitors with a well deserved cheer from the crowd each time it was cleared.  The final of the jump cross league will take place on Saturday 26th April and is open to everyone, you can still come along and compete even if it is your first week.  Each week the course consists of a mixture of showjumping and cross country fences with an optional joker fence.  The boat joker fence didnt stand in the way of Claire Dobbin and Louie gaining maximum points in both the 60 & 70cm classes.  Young Katie Bamford and Scout also took maximum points in the 60cm class with a brilliant clear round.  The consistent winning partnership of Aimee Jenkins and Gusty had no problems negotiating the point to get maximum points in both the 70 & 80cm classes.  Once again it was a faultless performance
in the 90cm class from Elaine Gardener and Sam to give us the only clear round.

Gransha Riding Club would like to say a big thank you to all who made Gransha Riding Clubs Jump Cross on the 11th December in Aid of St Vincent de Paul a great success.

Money raised from the entries and ballot totalled £300 which was presented to Joe Wilson(Farrier) a representive for the Charity.

The 14 fence course of show jumps and working hunter fences was built by James McCully and his team and those riders who were successful to jump clear then went against the clock over a shortened course.

Clare Dobbin/Louie, were the winners of the 65cms class, while in the 75cms class Sharon Getty/Gracie jumped super clear against the clock to take 1st place and Nat Wilton won the 90cms with the very useful Wishful Willow.

We also held a Ballot with 1st prize of a well packed hamper going to Robert McFarland, 2nd prize a smaller hamper to Leanne Beattie, 3rd prize a meat voucher won by Gail Smith and 4th prize large bags of potatoes and carrots went to Cheryl Corrie.

The Club is now taking a break until 8th January when we are having a “How to Working Hunter” . Adrienne Stuart with the help of a few riders will explain to members and friends who to ride you course etc.

This evening will start at 7:30pm and is open to non members and everyone is welcome.

75cms 1st Sharon Getty / Gracie, 2nd Katie McKee / Sam 3rd Diane McCully/ Mineview Major Tom, 4th Laura Bell / Mr Bumble.

90cms 1st Nat Wilton/Wishful Willow, 2nd Lauren Johnson / Ted, 3rd Rachel Adams / Poppy.
