Emerald International Equestrian Centre are delighted to announce that Show Jumping ledged Geoff Billington will be hosting a Masterclass Show and a day of clinics for individual riders, at Emerald in Co Kildare on December 13th 2014.

Geoff has been riding since the age of eleven and has been established for several years as one of Britain’s top riders having competed in European and World Championships, Olympic Games, Nations Cup’s and he is also a former winner of the Hickstead Derby.
Following his sixth place finish at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996, Geoff was awarded the ‘Horse and Hound Equestrian Personailty of the Year’ and his horse It’s Otto was voted the ‘Outstanding Horse of 1996.’ It’s Otto retired at Olympia 2001.
A supreme entertainer, Geoff has also made a name for himself with impressions of his fellow riders as well as presenting the ‘Simply the Best Tour’ in partnership with John Whitaker.
Geoff visited Emerald on Thursday to announce his forthcoming show and said afterwards,
“This is a World Class venue and the surface here is just perfection, I can see a World Cup show taking place here in the near future”.
The Geoff Billington Evening Masterclass at Emerald will run from 7pm to 10pm on Saturday 13th December and in addition, riders can book places in the Geoff Billington Clinics which will run throughout the day from 9am.
Places for the Geoff Billington Clinics are limited and for more information contact Emerald International directly.
Meanwhile is was also announced today that special ‘Family Tickets’ are now on sale for the Irish Masters which runs from 14th to 16th of November at Emerald. Family tickets for 2 adults and 2 children (or 1 adult and 3 children) are priced at €50 which offers at €20 saving on the price of standard tickets.

Geoff will be on hand to give one of his famous Showjumping Masterclasses riding both a novice and an advanced show jumper during an hour long demonstration. He will also spend time in the Speakers Corner Area giving visitors the chance to ask questions and hear about his career and experiences. His enthusiasm and competitive spirit should certainly entertain the Equus Live audience.

Geoff has been a leading figure on the International show jumping circuit for over 30 years and boasts both European and World Championship team bronze medals and has won numerous Grand Prix’s to date. Geoff has represented Great Britain at the Olympics in both Atlanta and Sydney and has also been a winner of the Hickstead Derby in 2007.
