				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: left;" align="center"><a href="http://79.170.44.152/equestriannewsni.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/connellhill1.jpg"><img class="alignright  wp-image-260737" alt="connellhill" src="http://79.170.44.152/equestriannewsni.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/connellhill1.jpg" width="210" height="210" /></a>Clocks went forward into Mother’s Day and competitors arrived to jump at the Cash Jumping Ireland Show hosted at Connell Hill on Sunday.  Indeed the friendly family welcome received at Connell Hill saw spectators, with no family members competing, come along to soak up the atmosphere.  Horses and ponies jumping in the same classes, but judged as separate units, all joined in the fun aspect making this a most enjoyable day which was had by all.  Riders not already registered were given the option to register on the day enabling them to be eligible for the prize fund pot.  First to dip into the pot was Ben Maybin as he took first place on ‘Tom Thumb’ in the 60 cm class.  It was a most nail biting 70 cm class but Meave Clarke on ‘Minnie’ took first place with Beth Boone on ‘Polly’ picking up second.  Competitors warmed up indoors preparing for the 80 cm class but booming past the finish into first place was Tara Murphy on ;Annaghmore Clover Boom’ with Brittany MaAfee on ‘Tessemara’ receiving second in the ponies.  Alanna Dunlop on ‘Gemma SC’ held the lead for the majority of hoses jumping in the 80 cm class but Ian Moore on ‘Femme Fatale’ just pushed her into second place taking first with John Kilgore on ‘Ballybreagh Classic’ taking third place.  Tara Murphy, with her winnings safely tucked away took to the arena for the 90 cm pony class, on ‘Annaghmore Clover Boom’ and once again took the honours of first place with second place going to ‘Tadgh Clarke on ‘Lenamore Mini Metro’, and Tyrone Flanagan on ‘Dillon’ taking third.  This most exciting 90 cm class had spectators cheering encouragement from the side lines which saw Shirley Smyth on ‘Jailhouse Rock’ lead from very early on in the horse class, but Ben Peppert on ‘Paddy’ pulled out all the stops and nipped into first place with Dean Cotton on ‘Coolda Castaway’ cutting corners to take time off the clock to pick up second with Shirley Smyth on ‘Jailhouse Rock’ third and John Kilgore on ‘Ballybreagh Classic’ fourth.  The 1.0 m pony class saw another member of the Clarke family in the winnings, this time Ruairi on ‘Alloy’ taking first, and a very busy young man with multiple rides, Tyrone Flanagan on ‘Vinnie’ taking second and Georgia Kelly on ‘Mystery Boy’ third.  The 1.0 m horse class saw speedy Ben Peppert, do it again to win on ‘Paddy’ with Brittany MaAfee on’Hail the Clover’ take second.  The 1.10 m pony class saw Georgia Kelly demonstrate her skill of control to win on ‘Mystery Boy’ with Stephen Gibson on ‘Millie’ winning the 1.10 m horse class and Mark Harley on ‘Tampa’ picking up second.  Mark Harley ended the day on a fabulous note winning the 1.20 m horse class on ‘Tampa’second place on ‘Mossey’ and then win the 1.30 m horse class ‘Mossey’.</p>
