<div></div>
<div>Written by Brian Hennessy</div>
<div></div>
<div>Thirty-two year old Power, who landed jump racing’s biggest prize in 2007 with Silver Birch, produced the only double clear round of a tough competition that saw just four of the 30 starters go through to the jump-off.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Robert comes from a family steeped in equestrian experience, his father Captain Con Power was a member of the Irish team that dominated the Aga Khan Trophy competition in the late 70’s, while Robert&#8217;s sister Elizabeth Power is one of Ireland’s most successful Eventing riders.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Robert Power&#8217;s win at Ballivor came aboard the 13 year=old High Roler gelding Doonaveeragh O One, a horse that Robert Power rode to a third place finish in the Eventer’s Grand Prix at Hickstead in 2012.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Meath’s John Floody grabbed runner up spot in the Ballivor LST, finishing with one fence down in the jump-off with the Joanne Attley owned eight year old mare Toscana (Ard Vdl Douglas x Presenting). Floody’s time of 44.28 seconds saw him finish almost four seconds faster than Declan McEvoy who picked up eight faults in round 2 with the seven year old Lotus S.E (Lordano x GrossAdmiral).</div>
<div></div>
<div>The only other rider to manage to make it into the jump-off was Philip McGuane with Barry O Connor’s seven year old Corland gelding Crocodile Dundee, two fences down against the clock, in a slightly slower time than Declan McEvoy, saw the Dublin based rider finish in fourth spot.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Gerard Clarke who won the opening round of the LST at Barnadown, collected more valuable league points with a fifth place finish aboard Kings Best after the fastest four fault score from round one, while John Floody and Bronson de Reve secured sixth place.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Sponsored by the forthcoming Leinster Region Fundraiser, “A Nights Greyhound Racing at Shelbourne Park” which will take place on Thursday August 7th, the 2014 Leinster Summer Tour boasts a very generous prize fund, including the “Karlswood Stables Bursary” where the leading Young Rider in the L.S.T will receive a week’s training including accommodation for both horse and rider, with Olympic Bronze medallist Cian O’Connor at his Karlswood base in Co Meath.</div>
<div></div>
<div>The next round of the LST will take place at Mullingar Equestrian Centre on June 29th</div>
