				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Following the successful reintroduction of Working Hunter to Omagh Show, organisers Arvalee Riding Club are making slight adjustments to the schedule as they enter their 3rd year of organising the arena at the popular agricultural and equestrian event running 4th and 5th July at the Tyrone Farming Society grounds, on the edge of Omagh town.</p>
<p>Deciding to move into alignment with IPS rules competitors will have the advantage of understanding a proven system that is used in many shows throughout Ireland.  In addition to this Cash prizes will also be up for grabs in many of the classes as well as the perpetual trophies for the Champion Horse and Pony classes.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The schedule now looks like:</p>
<p>Class 1: Open Starter Stakes WH &#8211; For ponies, mares or geldings, 4yrs old and over, not exceeding 133cms, suitable for and to be ridden by riders who have not attained their 12th birthday on 1st January of current year   Min height 60cm, max 75cm</p>
<p>Class 2: Open 133cm WH &#8211; For ponies, mares or geldings, 4yrs old and over, exceeding 123cms but not exceeding 133cms, suitable for and to be ridden by riders who have not attained their 14th birthday on 1st January of current year  Min height 75cm, max 90cm</p>
<p>Class 3: Open 143cm WH &#8211; For ponies, mares or geldings, 4yrs old and over, exceeding 133cm but not exceeding 143cm, suitable for and to be ridden by riders who have not attained their 17th birthday on 1st January of current year  Min height 85cm, max 1m</p>
<p>Class 4: Open 153cm WH  - For ponies, mares or geldings, 4yrs old and over, exceeding 143cm but not exceeding 153cm, suitable for and to be ridden by riders who have not attained their 20th birthday on 1st January of current year  Min height 90cm, max 1.05</p>
<p>Class 5: Open Intermediate WH &#8211; For ponies, mares or geldings, 4yrs old and over, exceeding 153cm but not exceeding 158cm, suitable for and to be ridden by riders who have not attained their 25th birthday on 1st January of current year.  Min height 99cm, max 1.15</p>
<p>WORKING HUNTER HORSES</p>
<p>Class 6: Working Hunter 4yr old &amp; Over (max height 70cms)</p>
<p>Class 7: Working Hunter &#8211; Small hunter and Cob (max height 80cms)</p>
<p>Class 8: Working Hunter 4yr old &amp; Over (max height 90cms)</p>
<p>Class 9: Open Horse Working Hunter 4yr old &amp; over (max height 105cm)</p>

The league will run over a shortened format with 4 qualifying legs, as with last year cash prizes will be paid to those eligible and on the final day. With the first date: Saturday 19th October at the RDA Centre, Omagh, the countdown has well and truly begun.</span></p>
<p>Pony classes will commence at 10am and will run a full programme of classes to suit all abilities. Whilst horses will commence at 2.30 with a 55cms Newcomer class, then running classes to 1m, including a small hunter class.</p>
<p>Rosettes will be awarded on the day with £2 per entry going into the final prize funds for cash prizes on the final day.</p>
<p>The league will also contain qualifiers for the 2014 Northern Ireland Festival, to be held in April 2014 at Cavan Equestrian Centre, further details will be released at a later date regarding these.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Saturday 16th March 2013 will see the first Arena Pix and Mix organised by Arvalee Riding Club, similar to Combined Training, competitors will ride a dressage test, followed then by a round of show jumps. The event will be run similarly to Eventing were by competitors will start on their dressage score, with show jumping penalties deducting from this to final the final result.</p>
<p>Starting at 10am with BD Intro A (2008), BD Preliminary 4 (2002), BD Preliminary 14 (2006) and BD Novice 34 (2009). The afternoon will see the show jumping course being put up for the 2nd phase, heights are 50CM, 60CMS, 75CMS and 90CMS.</p>
<p>For those uncomfortable with jumping a Dressage Only section has been organised, with rosettes for those placed highest after dressage.</p>
<p>Pre Entry to Heather Black, 07731006954 by Wednesday 13th March by 5pm, dressage times will then be posted on Arvalee Facebook Page on Friday 15th or by emailing arvaleeridingclub@yahoo.co.uk.</p>
