Ards Riding Club Host Team Jumping

Sheridan Andrews and Lacey on their way to winning prize for fastest clear round

Ards Riding Club hosted round 5 of the inter club team jumping qualifiers at Bairdstown Road, Ballywalter by kind permission of the Robinson family. The teams consisted of two novice and two open riders each of whom jumped two rounds over 8 fences. The second round was against the clock. Competition was keen but Mossvale secured first place with Gransha coming a close second. Congratulations to these two teams which have qualified for the final to be held at Balmoral Park later this month. Mossvale team rider Sheridan Andrews on Lacey also picked up the prize for the fastest clear round of the day.

Third Week of Ards Summer Jumping

The weather continued to hold fair for week three of the Club’s summer show jumping. Despite the earlier rain, ground conditions were good. Karina McVeigh and Cheyenne took 1st place in Class1 while Cerys Howells and Runaway Dolly secured 1st place in Class 2. 1st place prize in Class 3 went to Regan McKee and Willow in a closely contended speed round.

The Club are hosting the Riding Club’s Team Jumping at Bairdstown Road on Saturday, 29th June, by kind permission of the Robinson family. The team jumping is for Riding Club members only. The final will be held in July at Balmoral Park and will be in a grass arena, so this will be a good chance to assess your horse on this surface. We will also be operating a Clear Round ring which is open to everyone.
